"Having to help a confused elderly loved one move into a care home and sell their precious possessions passed down over the generations is never easy.
For my aunt and me this was made even more difficult by a distance of 200 miles between our two homes. We needed help from someone to organise the house clearance and to successfully identify, market and auction anything valuable.

I would never have thought a battered old stone trough would be worth auctioning! But that was just the start. Lindsey picked out a number of items for further research one of which turned out to be a rare and very valuable 17th century Delft jug which to the family just looked like something you’d stick a bunch of daffs in.
She researched its likely origins, even sourcing one of our ancestor’s will from the time, and built up interest amongst likely bidders with expert marketing. In the end we watched the auction live online and suffice to say the proceeds were astounding, way beyond our wildest expectations.
